Updated 6 October 2026. This author website uses a small first-party counter to understand which pages are read, whether readers open the excerpt, and whether they follow a verified book link to Amazon.
What the counter stores
Only a UTC calendar day, a fixed page category, a fixed action category and a total. Test activity is stored separately. The counter does not store individual events, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, visitor or session identifiers, referral pages, search terms, query strings or form input. It sets no analytics cookies and uses no browser storage.
Each action category is counted at most once per page load. Reloads can count again. These figures are page views and clicks, not unique people, reading completion or Amazon purchases. No purchase clicks are available until verified purchase links are published.
Your browser choice
The counter skips browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Blocking JavaScript or the measurement request also prevents counting and does not prevent you from reading the website or following its links.
Hosting and retention
The website is hosted with OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Network delivery and provider security services necessarily process connection information, and the provider may set security cookies. The limited counter described above is separate from that infrastructure; we cannot promise that hosting providers keep no operational records. Counter totals older than 183 days are removed when a new valid measurement is processed.
External links and email
Amazon and source websites apply their own privacy practices after you follow their links. This website does not send the current page as a referrer. Emailing the author shares the content and sender details you choose to send through the email providers; email is not part of this counter.
